The No. 2 prospect in the Great Lakes League the summer after his freshman year, Sexton built off a solid 2015 Cape Cod League performance (8.9 K/9) with a strong 2016 in Mississippi State's rotation. At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, he thrives with an above-average changeup as his best pitch, getting about 10-12 mph separation between his 88-90 mph fastball and change. He throws strikes with his fringe-average to average breaking ball, repeats his delvery and pounds the bottom of the zone.
