Overview

Dr. Jamie Myers' primary area of research interest relates to the prevention and management of symptoms related to cancer and cancer treatment. Specifically she has focused her research efforts on investigating cancer-related cognitive changes. Her research has spanned qualitative research to describe the lived experience of cancer survivors who report changes in cognitive function, descriptive research to identify predictors of cognitive changes, novel methods of assessment of cognitive effort, and interventions to improve cognitive function. Dr. Myers' interventional work includes investigation of psychoeducation-based cognitive rehabilitation, aerobic and resistance band exercise in conjunction with nutritional counseling, and the use of mindfulness-based exercise.
