The split came after photos of Sofia allegedly kissing another man surfaced online

Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has called it quits with his model girlfriend, Sofia Calzetti.

The two love birds have been seeing each other for four years now.

Sportskeeda reports that Aguero confirmed the split via his official Twitch channel, where he often streams and plays games.

Sofia has also since confirmed that she is no longer an item with the former football star, who retired from the game over heart complications.

Speaking via Argentine journalist Angel de Birito, the stunning brunette went on to reveal that she is still in love with Aguero despite their split.

"Many things are said that are not true. Everything is fine, we have good dialogue, but a lot of nonsense is said. "I am not in a relationship. He [Aguero] is a person whom I love very much and I have a lot of respect for him. The causes of the separation are between us, relationship problems."

Aguero's split with Sofia came after a video reportedly emerged of the model kissing another man in a nightclub.

Daily Star reports that Sofia's last upload of Aguero was back in June when she celebrated the ex-footaller's 35th birthday.

The publication reports that the pair began their relationship back in 2019.

They became an item about seven years after the former striker and Giannina divorced following four years of marriage.

Sofia has her own fashion brand.
